The journalists of L'Opinion, L'Express and Libération, who had been denied their accreditation to cover a Saturday meeting organized by relatives of Marion Maréchal, were accredited Wednesday under the threat of a boycott of the event by several media and guests.

The journalists of Libération, L'Opinion and L'Express were deprived of accreditation to cover this "convention of the right" because considered "aggressive and denigrating", according to one of the organizers of the event, Jacques de Guillebon , editor-in-chief of the monthly L'Incorrect.

According to exchanges of text that AFP procured, Mr. Guillebon reproached the Liberation journalist for having "mistreated some of the organizers". He felt that the other two journalists had "never thought to harm them" and were "cunning like the snake".

As for other accredited journalists, they are "more friendly with us," said Mr. Guillebon, also co-chair of the scientific council of the school of political science founded in Lyon by the former MP National Front (now National Assembly) Marion Maréchal .

"This controversy has no place to be.All national newspapers will be accredited," wrote Wednesday morning on his Twitter account the Convention of the Right, organized by the Incorrect, "Roots of Future" young LR Erik Tegnér and the network of entrepreneurs "Circle Audacity", all close to the former elected far right.

The editor of the World, Luc Bronner, that of the editorial offices of Figaro Alexis Brézet, as well as the editor-in-chief of Inrocks Marie Kirschen have threatened to boycott the evening if the journalists were not accredited.

"In solidarity with journalists denied access, Le Monde will not cover this + right + convention if the organizers continue to deny them accreditation," tweeted Mr. Bronner. "If the organizers persist, Le Figaro will obviously not cover this event .. # libertedinformer" according to Mr. Brézet.

Two guests who were to bring the contradiction to this meeting also threatened not to come.

"In a democracy, one chooses neither its opponents nor the journalists, whose pluralism is essential to the public debate In these conditions, I will not participate in the + convention of the right +", tweeted the LREM deputy Aurélien Taché.

"If L'Opinion, L'Express and Libé are not + accredited +, I will also cancel my participation in the + convention right +", had also tweeted the philosopher Raphael Enthoven.

The reporter for the TMC channel's Quotidien show, which was not accredited because "it's just entertainment," was finally invited, according to an organizer.

Daily and Mediapart have been banned from attending National Gathering events since 2012.
