Abe said the need to reform the UN Security Council

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said that he considers it "absolutely necessary" to reform the United Nations Security Council.

This was announced by the Japanese prime minister during general political debates at the 74th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

“For the UN, which has come a three-quarters of a century since its inception, structural reform, especially the Security Council, is absolutely necessary,” TASS quoted him as saying.

Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during a speech at the UN General Assembly said that the world's nuclear weapons should be "either banned by all, or allowed by all."
