RAS AL KHAIMAH: A young man accused of stealing a sheep from a farm has been tried in a misdemeanor court in Ras Al Khaimah yesterday.

The defendant denied the accusations before the court, and stated that after leaving the mosque after Friday prayers, he went to buy some items from a grocery store. While passing the road, the farm worker invited him to sit with him.He did not steal anything from the farm.

According to the investigation papers, the defendant went an hour and a half after the end of Friday prayers to one of the farms and entered it and tried to steal a sheep.A farm worker was able to arrest him in the act and took the sheep from him.The owner of the farm filed a complaint with the police against the accused and was caught by the police.

During the interrogation, the defendant said that he immediately went to the farm to meet the call of a worker, but the investigation showed that the defendant went to the farm long after the prayer ended, believing that no one was inside and stole a sheep before the farm worker realized that he was there. The court adjourned the case to pronounce the verdict at the next hearing.
