Commenting on the demonstrations in Egypt, US President Donald Trump said they are happening in all countries, adding that Egypt has a wonderful and respected leader, he said.

Trump said during a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on the sidelines of the work of the General Assembly of the United Nations, that chaos was prevalent in Egypt, but no longer exist after the arrival of Sisi.

The president ignored concerns about protests against the Sisi regime, saying "everyone has demonstrations."

For his part, the Egyptian president said that political Islam is the cause of chaos in the region.

"Public opinion in Egypt has not accepted the existence of political Islam groups in power, and the region will remain unstable as long as they seek power," Sisi said.

Demonstrations broke out in Egypt on Friday demanding that Sisi leave office, while pro-regime Egyptian media have questioned it and said the videos broadcasting the demonstrations were fabricated and incorrect.
