Real Madrid French left-back Ferland Mendy was injured on Tuesday for the second time this season, prompting Zinedine Zidane to lash out at the pace set by the calendar for the players.

Real doctors have diagnosed "a muscle injury adductor of the left leg" in Ferland Mendy, according to a statement from the club, already deprived of several holders by muscle injuries.

According to the daily As, the 24-year-old Frenchman, who had already suffered a tear in his right thigh in July shortly after his transfer for 48 million euros, should be unavailable two to three weeks and will miss the derby against the Atletico Saturday.

"It bothers me to see Ferland again unavailable, because he was good and happy to be there, but these are things that can happen," Zinédine Zidane responded in a press conference.

The coach "merengue" has questioned the busy schedule. "The players never rest, they have matches in the selection, and after the seven games that are coming now they will have the selection again. It's complicated," said Zidane who said "embarrassed but not worried" .

"It bothers me a lot because I do not want my players to get hurt, but it's an aspect of football that we do not control well, we take good care of the players and the people who work here are very competent, but that's not enough, "added Zidane.

Second La Liga and engaged in the Champions League, Real has a busy schedule, with two meetings a week for three weeks in a row.

The unavailability of Mendy further complicates the task of the French technician, facing a shower of injuries, including that of the other left-back, the Brazilian Marcelo, Golden Ball Luka Modric or Isco.

These three "are about to be back with the team and we will see how we will do," said Zidane, also deprived of Eden Hazard, Marco Asensio and James Rodriguez, among others.

Winner Sunday of Sevilla (1-0), the Madrid club receives Osasuna on Wednesday, continues with Atlético Sunday then with Bruges in C1 Tuesday, October 1, Granada Saturday 5 ... and will have to leave its international available to their selections .
