On Tuesday, the trial went on against the 16 NMR members, eight of whom are charged with violent riots and 15 are indicted for incitement against people. A large part of the evidence consists of films from the police's own cameras during the demonstration while the Book Fair was in 2017.

Shortly after the trial started, defense attorneys came up with the proposal to dismiss the charges relating to incitement to a people group, something that the district court dismissed shortly after 11.

Violent riot

The afternoon was devoted to the prosecutor's case where, among other things, the course of events outside ICA Focus was recorded, where the demonstration train deviated from the permitted route.

A large number of police officers were present, who were exhibiting police buses to block the demonstration train from continuing down the Korsvägen. Police also stand in the way and shout "back!", But several protesters then press the police with their shields.

- The flags are used as launches against the police. Objects and plaques are thrown at the police. They do not suffer any damage because they have protective equipment. Otherwise, they would have been injured, says prosecutor Jonas Martinsson.

Denies anger towards people group

Thereafter, the second prosecutor, Viktor Törneke, proceeded to go through the individuals one by one. Since there are 16 people charged, it is for the prosecutor to show what the different people have done.

The court may also see a number that an NMR member holds. For example, a quote from the speech is: "Swedes are in danger because of mass immigration". This concerns the point of indictment against people's groups. One of the lawyers, Sargon De Basso, represents one of the defendants.

- He denies crime and disputes responsibility, my client does not think it is hot against the people group that the prosecutor has presented, says Sargon De Basso.

According to the preliminary plan, the trial will be closed sometime in mid-October. The defendants have previously denied crime.
