The European Court of Justice has established that the search engine will not be required to remove, outside the EU, links to content that some users would like no longer visible. However, subject to certain exceptions provided for by EU law, the prohibition to treat certain sensitive personal data applies. The ruling is on Google's appeal against the French Privacy Agency, which had asked to remove all harmful content on a user.
