Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said in his speech before the 74th session of the UN General Assembly that the UN meeting this year comes at a time of increasing challenges in the world, pointing out that Egypt has an ambitious plan to advance society and decisively confront terrorism.

He said that Egypt has a pioneering national experience to promote society in the fight against terrorism and economic reform, adding that "this plan has won the support of the Egyptian people."

The Egyptian President pointed to his country's role in establishing the United Nations and its role in the African Union, which it currently chairs, as well as its role in the Arab League to face the challenges facing the world, calling on international and regional financial institutions to support development in Africa.

In his speech, Al-Sisi addressed Sudan, where he stressed the importance of including his name among the state sponsors of terrorism.

He pointed out that the survival of the Palestinian issue without a just solution means not only the continued suffering of the Palestinian people, but the depletion of the resources of the Arab countries and their peoples.

On the Renaissance Dam, Sisi said, "For Egypt, the Nile waters are a matter of life and a matter of existence, which places a great responsibility on the international community to play a constructive role in urging all parties to be flexible, in the search for a satisfactory agreement for all."

President al-Sisi called for the need to take a mechanism to address the shortcomings in the decision-making of the UN Security Council and to correct the historical injustice on the African continent.
