FIFA have unveiled the choices of the various national team leaders for the player who deserves, in their view, the FIFA Best Player of the World award, won by Argentine star Lionel Messi, Barcelona captain and historic goalscorer, on Monday at a ceremony. In Milan.

The start with the groom last night, who gave five points to Senegal's Sadio Mane, Liverpool's top scorer, three points to arch-rivals Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo, and one point to his team-mate Frenke de Jong.

Ronaldo, who missed the FIFA ceremony after learning that he was not the winner of the award, did not give Messi points but voted for Juve's Dutchman Matthias De Licht, Dutchman De Jong and Frenchman Clien Mbappe.

Former Spain and Barcelona coach Luis Enrique voted for Messi and Real Madrid striker Eden Hazard and Dutchman De Jong respectively.

Spain captain Sergio Ramos voted for Hazard, Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah, respectively.

The Bulga won the record with six titles to five for Ronaldo.

Messi has already won the award in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2015.
