In Ukraine, called for negotiations on the maritime border with Russia

As noted in the department, in 2003 an agreement was concluded on the Russian-Ukrainian state border, but it did not establish maritime borders.

“Therefore, the State Hydrography” proposes to initiate, at the level of senior officials of the state, a compulsory negotiation process with Russia to establish the maritime border, ”the report said.

It is emphasized that without this, Ukraine will never be able to fully exercise its sovereignty and legally use marine natural resources.

Earlier, the State Hydrography suggested creating a regimen sea area around Crimea to prohibit the entry of foreign vessels into all Crimean ports.

Political scientist Vladimir Bruter in an interview with the FBA “Economics Today” commented on the idea.
