September 23, 2019The collaboration between Gruppo FS Italiane and the European Investment Bank (EIB) is consolidated to support the projects of the 2019-2023 Business Plan.The CEO of Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, Gianfranco Battisti, met Dario Scannapieco, vice president of the EIB, at the Rome branch of the FS group.
At the center of the discussion are the green projects that the FS group will develop with its Industrial Plan 2019-2023, in the name of social, economic and environmental sustainability, and the possibility of finding in the EIB the financial institution able to collaborate in their realization .
The FS Industrial Plan is characterized by green and sustainable investments and fits perfectly with the interests of the EIB, a pioneer institution for sustainable finance and historically close to the activities of the FS group in financing new infrastructures and purchasing trains.
The specialist teams of FS and Bei will therefore work over the next few months to identify the largest number of investments ready to be financed according to the Esg (Environmental, social and governance) logic, with attention to the ethical and social and environmental responsibility of the projects .
