The Ras Al Khaimah Misdemeanor Court yesterday reviewed two separate cases of insulting and cursing the first case of a Gulf couple accused of insulting each other with indecent utterances, by submitting a memorandum of defense to the Personal Status Court, which included indecent expressions and offenses written by each party in the memorandum Against the other.

According to the indictment, the husband accused the first defendant in his defense memorandum three statements insulting his wife, where the defendant denied the accusation against him in court, and stated that he listed the facts that occurred between him and his wife, and wrote in the defense note, as the prosecution accused the wife, to submit a defense note They include insults against her husband, where the wife denied the charge and stated that it was not contained in the defense memorandum as an account of the facts.

For his part, the defense lawyer for the victim submitted a memorandum of civil prosecution, and stuck to the amendment of the registration and description of the accused from defamation charge to defamation, and asked the defense to acquit his client of the charges against her.

He demanded the acquittal of his client for the absence of a crime in the case papers, as article 53 of the Penal Code stipulates that there is no crime if the act occurs in good faith.He continued that the words in his client's defense memorandum do not include insults, but include legal words and making evidence in accordance with the law.

The court set a hearing next Monday for the verdict.

The second case of a Gulf woman accused of insulting and threatening the wife of her brother, as a result of differences between them, where it says in the indictment that the accused threatened the victim and insulting her.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the court and claimed that the victim had been insulted, while the victim and her husband had denied the accusations.

The court tried to reconcile between the two parties, where the victim agreed with the encouragement of her husband to reconcile, but the defendant refused to reconcile, and insisted on completing the court, on charges of insulting the victim, and the court reserved the case on Monday.
