Former World No.1 Naomi Osaka unceremoniously got rid of Russia's Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova on Sunday in the Osaka tournament final, 6-2, 6-3.

Current 4th player in the world, Osaka (21) was playing her first tournament since her elimination in the round of 16 of the US Open which dethroned her in the WTA ranking.

She won her first title since winning the Australian Open in January.

In her hometown, the Japanese dominated the Russian (41st world) in all sectors, in 1:09 of play.

Osaka, who also has US nationality, had failed twice in the final of this tournament (2016, 2018), then disputed in Tokyo.
