The deputy said that this idea has long been discussed both at the level of the State Duma and at the level of the Ministry of Health.

“This was also discussed in our committee (State Duma for Health. - RT ), and I personally heard it from Veronika Yurievna. The idea itself has been discussed for a long time, and the concept is very correct, ”said Govorin.

According to the politician, this project will be especially relevant for cardiosurgical patients.

“When the patient was operated on, he had changes in the vessels in acute coronary syndrome, when a heart attack occurs ... a prerequisite for a successful outcome is the use of special and very expensive drugs that can block excessive blood clotting,” Govorin added.

The parliamentarian said that the implementation of the initiative will help reduce the mortality rate of the working-age population, because of which the state, among other things, incurs significant economic costs.

He added that the possibility of obtaining expensive drugs for free will help minimize the risk of complications (heart attack, stroke) in patients with hypertension.

“If these patients are given special expensive drugs that patients often cannot rely on themselves, then ultimately the number of heart attacks and strokes is reduced, and these expenses are almost completely replenished by the amount of expenditures that they would have spent on treating a heart attack and a stroke in these patients, ”the deputy concluded.

Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Health was discussing a project according to which patients will be able to receive essential medicines prescribed by a doctor for free or at a discount.
