Zarif commented on the military operation of the Arab coalition in Yemen

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Jawad Zarif commented on the military operation of the Arab coalition in Yemen.

“Since the Saudi regime groundlessly accused Iran of attacks on its oil facilities, it is curious that they struck back at Hodaide in Yemen today, violating the UN ceasefire,” Zarif wrote on his Twitter page.

He stated that "it is clear that even the Saudis themselves do not believe the invention of Iranian participation."

Earlier, the Arab coalition said it had launched a military operation in northern Hodeida in Yemen.

On September 14, Saudi Aramco refineries in eastern Saudi Arabia were attacked by drones. The responsibility for the attack was claimed by the Hussite Yemeni rebels.

The Arab coalition fighting in Yemen, led by Saudi Arabia, accused Iran of attacking the kingdom's oil facilities. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also blamed Iran.

In turn, Iranian Defense Minister Amir Khatami denied allegations against Tehran of attacks on Saudi Aramco factories in Saudi Arabia.
