SVT News Värmland has previously told about siblings Saga and Maja Rixer who suffer from the incurable Sanfilppo type C.

The siblings' parents, Lisa and Andreas Rixer, have started the organization "Hug your children" to raise money for research to find a cure.

- I had never heard of the disease, but I was reading about it, says Anders Olsson.

Information and awareness

During the weekend several participants cycle to pay attention to the organization and Anders Olsson is one of them.

- It feels fantastic that Anders chose to support us. He is a great role model to many and with his qualifications and contacts we hope to be able to get further help with spreading information and awareness of Sanfilippo's disease (MPSIII) which hopefully generates money for research to find cures, says Anders Rixer in a press release.

"People need to know"

- There are so many diseases that researchers are far too little aware of. When a family gets affected, and as here with not just one but two children, I immediately felt that I had to set that up. People need to know what it is for something and what it means for parents and children, says Anders Olsson.
