On the occasion of the World CleanUp Day, about 2,000 public events for the planet are organized in France.

REPORTAGE

Saturday is the "World CleanUp Day". In good French: the world day of waste collection. Around the world, tens of thousands of street cleaning initiatives, parks and other public spaces are launched. Schools, businesses go there. In France, more than 2,000 public events are planned. Thus, in Issy-Les-Moulineaux, in the Hauts-de-Seine, the journalist from Europe 1 was able to participate in a "plogging". The goal: to run and stop to pick up trash that can be seen at the side of the road.

A holy spirit in a healthy body ... why not on a healthy planet. So much for the program of this green jogging. "There are packaging, packets of cigarettes ..." says Nadia. In just ten seconds, this participant has already picked up thirteen butts.

From races to picking up garbage, Luciana Morla organizes one per month. "Not only is it good for the body, but it is good for nature, here we are on the banks of the Seine, and we know that there is a good chance that all the waste that 'we will not pick up fall into the river and go to sea,' she laments.

"It is necessary that the industrialists enter a virtuous circle"

As the trash bags fill up, Laurent becomes aware of the magnitude of the problem: "It is necessary that the industrialists enter a virtuous circle and produce less waste!" An hour later, at the end of the course, a small mountain of garbage was harvested. To mark a maximum of consciousness, it is photographed and widely distributed on social networks.
