Berlin (dpa) - Germany today joins the international alliance for the coal exit. The coal exit was a key component of global climate protection. Environment Minister Svenja Schulze told the newspapers of the Funke Media Group on the occasion of the announcement planned on the sidelines of the UN climate summit in New York. With the decisions of the Climate Cabinet, the Federal Government is officially committed to the coal exit. With this, Germany could finally join the alliance of coalition countries.
