- An ongoing burglary is a high priority, so we had police in place five minutes after the alarm came. Once in the home, the police find a person downstairs who obviously has nothing to do, says Carina Skagerlind at the police regional control center.
No confrontation should have taken place between the resident and the person now suspected of burglary.
- The residents have a disability and stayed for upstairs for various reasons, says Skagerlind.
How common is it that the perpetrator remains in the home in case of an alarm about burglary?
- Not very common, but it happens. It saves us time and resources, so when that happens we become very happy, ”says Skagerlind.
