Bill de Blasio, who has never managed to take off in the polls, announced on the MSNBC channel that he was giving up his bid for the Democratic nomination for the 2020 US presidential election.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, who has never managed to take off in the polls, announced Friday that he was giving up the Democratic nomination for the 2020 US presidential election.

"This is clearly not my time, I will end my presidential campaign," said the mayor of the first American metropolis, which was less than 0.5% in polls, on the MSNBC channel.
His abandonment comes after he failed to qualify for the latest debates between Democratic candidates. There are still 19 candidates running to determine who will face Donald Trump in November 2020.
