“In Minsk, the tripartite contact group has indeed complied with the Norman Four's instructions on the written approval of the text of this formula. They really should have done it, but there was a technical misunderstanding in the most trilateral contact group, ”the minister said.
According to him, also the representative of Ukraine “expressed certain comments”, which can be processed later.
As Pristayko pointed out, perhaps in the text that was discussed at the meeting, something will be added or removed from it.
On September 18, a representative of Kiev at a meeting of the contact group refused to sign Steinmeier’s formula.
In Berlin, commenting on such a decision, they noted that the purpose of the formula is to make the implementation of the Minsk agreements possible.
As stated in the Kremlin, Ukraine’s position on the formula confirms that preparatory work is needed before the summit in the Norman format.
