Despite rain and winds, hundreds of climate strikers gathered to demonstrate. The train started at Stadshuset and passed through the town to Stortorget.

Eleven-year-old Frans has been striking every Friday since February this year, and he thinks it is important that the rulers address the problems.

"I'm doing this because I want a future," says Frans, 11.

School students skip school

Many who strike are just like Frans, students who really should be in school. But they think the climate issue is so important that the school, at least today, is allowed to come in secondhand.

- You also learn a lot about demonstrating and being in the community and making a difference, says Dima, 14.

- Our teachers will have to put an invalid absence on us because we are here and not in school. But they think we are absent for a good cause so they really wouldn't want to. But they have to, says Alba, 14.

Fridays for future is the movement that has called for a global climate strike today 20 September. Already next Friday, another global climate strike is planned.
