The A28 between Utrecht and Zwolle was closed for several hours on Friday afternoon at Amersfoort-Vathorst after an accident involving several vehicles, reports the ANWB. The road opened again around 4 p.m.
After the collision with the A28, an accident also occurred on the A12 near Driebergen, as a result of which traffic that was being driven was also found there.
In the accident on the A28, seven vehicles collided. At least two people were crushed and released by the fire department, the police reported. After that the road was closed for a few hours for research. The accident happened around 2 p.m.
It is not yet clear how many people were injured. According to the police, all the victims were taken to the hospital.
