The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported violations at the Grand Park shopping center in Grozny


Employees of the Ministry of Emergencies and the prosecutor's office in April 2018 found seven violations of fire safety standards in the Grand Park shopping center in the center of Grozny, where a fire occurred on September 19. “In April 2018, during the audit, together with the prosecutor’s office, seven violations were revealed at the Grand Park shopping center in Grozny and an administrative case was opened against the official responsible for fire safety,” the department said.

According to a representative of the department, a fine was issued in connection with violations. On November 25, 2019, another check is planned, during which it will be determined whether the violations have been eliminated.

At the same time, an employee of the administration of the shopping center reported that the fire started on the third floor of the building.

“As a result of the fire that spread to the second and first floors, two restaurants and a store with sporting goods burned out,” she said.
