In its referral response, the County Administrative Board in Östergötland proposes that the cancellation case of road 801 be lifted from the road project bypassed south-south and decided separately. How do you view such a procedure?

Answer: The County Administrative Board proposes two alternatives in its referral opinion - either that the Swedish Transport Administration complements or changes the proposal, or that the proposal is lifted out of the current road map to be dealt with in a different order. The Swedish Transport Administration has chosen to supplement the proposal.

The village team believes that there have been so many formal errors in the withdrawal process that they can continue this / appeal and thus greatly delay the construction of the bypass. How do you see it? What is the risk of delays?

Answer: The Swedish Transport Administration refrains from speculating on the likelihood of the project being delayed.

SVT, after further questions, receives answers from the Swedish Transport Administration's communicator Thomas Pihl that they refrain from commenting on the village team's criticism. And that the Swedish Transport Administration has not changed its view on the matter but that it is "just a supplement / in-depth".

Trial awaits

The Swedish Transport Administration has previously described how the case should undergo a legal and planning examination. This is done in conjunction with the establishment of a roadmap, which will probably take place towards the end of the year. During a legal and planning examination, the Swedish Transport Administration's experts check that no part of a decision is contrary to applicable laws and regulations. After the examination, it is known whether it is possible for the Swedish Transport Administration to relinquish the responsibility and maintenance for road 801.

- Today, the 801 is needed as an alternative route when there are car queues at bridge openings on E22 through Söderköping. That need disappears completely when new bypass is being built in Söderköping, said Unit Head Johan Rex at the Swedish Transport Administration to SVT in November 2017.
