He noted that in 2018 the state defense order for the supply of new types of weapons and equipment was fulfilled by 98.2%.

“Preliminary results of the current year confirm that the re-equipment of the army and navy of Russia is taking place as planned. So, the volume of funds placed today has already reached 94%. This is even higher than last year, ”he said.

In mid-September, more than 2.3 thousand units of new modernized weapons and equipment were delivered to the troops, which is almost 50% of the planned figures.

“It is necessary to continue in full and on time to implement the plans of the state armament program. To bring and launch perspective models of weapons and equipment into the series, actively expand military-technical cooperation, ”the head of state instructed.

According to him, the task of increasing export potential fully applies to civilian products.

“Just like Izhevsk residents, all the defense industry organizations should occupy new niches, boldly enter the domestic and foreign markets,” the president said.

In May, Putin announced that over the past five years, more than a thousand modernized planes and helicopters have been sent to Russian troops.
