Now Olle Lundin, professor of administrative law at Uppsala University and expert on bribery and corruption, wants a prosecutor to investigate the trips.

- It is reasonable for a prosecutor to look into this, if it may be a matter of bribery, he tells Aftonbladet.

The reason is that it may be an invitation trip, as Bindefeld has said in an earlier interview with Expressen that he pays for all his guests on the trip.

Three top politicians in place

Party leaders Ulf Kristersson (M), Ebba Busch Thor (KD) and Nyamko Sabuni (L) are all on site in Israel to celebrate Bindefeld, but whether they paid for the trips themselves or were invited is not determined.

Ulf Kristersson's press secretary states in a text message to the newspaper that the party leader paid the trip to Tel Aviv himself but otherwise will be invited. Busch Thor's press secretary cannot answer whether the KD leader has paid for the trip himself or will be invited.

"Not forbidden to receive gifts"

At the National Unit for Corruption, one doubts whether the party leaders' travels are about bribery.

"It is not enough for someone to say that it is a crime, there must be something concrete to show that it is actually so," says Kim Andrews, chief prosecutor at the National Anti-Corruption Unit.

There has not yet been a complaint against the politicians.

- As a politician, you are not completely prohibited from receiving gifts. In order for it to be a bribe, the offer must be linked to the person's service and not to the friendship. ”Says Kim Andrews.
