19 September 2019The British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson has 12 days, by the end of the month, to present his plans for the Brexit to the EU, otherwise "it's over". This was announced by Finnish Prime Minister Antti Rinne, who holds the current president of the EU, reporting the line agreed with French President Emmanuel Macron. A source from Downing Street reiterated that they will continue "to negotiate and make proposals in due course". Johnson said that it is possible to reach an agreement at the European summit on October 17, but he also reiterated that otherwise he will bring the country out of the EU on October 31 as promised.

The British premier says that talks with the EU are making progress and that the United Kingdom would have presented proposals for a valid alternative to the 'backstop' clause for Northern Ireland, which the London government considers unacceptable. Proposals that the EU says it is still waiting for.
