It is not uncommon for health professionals to be exposed to threats and violence today. Jan-Olof Svärd, who is a senior physician at Värnamo Hospital, sees the risks of having to carry a name plate, and has therefore previously suggested that it should be voluntary to reduce the risks.

According to the Jönköping County region, there are a handful of incidents relating to threats and violence against medical personnel.
