At a crowded Storsjöt Theater, the audience was given the opportunity to both laugh but also to take part in the major climate issues about, for example, how to reduce the use of fossil fuels. The climate seminar is arranged by the County Administrative Board in Jämtland for the seventeenth year and aims to raise climate issues.

One of the lecturers, the carbon dioxide bunker Staffan Lindberg, sang, among other things, a song about milk and best-before date.

Reduce emissions by ten percent per year

During the day a new climate target was also presented, which was taken by both the Jämtland Härjedalen Region and the County Administrative Board.

"This means that from 2020 we will reduce our climate emissions by at least ten percent every year until 2030," Jimmy Nilsson, environmental goals coordinator at the county administrative board, told SVT News Jämtland.

Does this only apply to the region and the county administrative board?

"No, in fact, it applies to all of us, the municipalities, the business community, companies and we as individuals, that we need to reduce our emissions by ten percent every year," Jimmy Nilsson said.

During the seminar there was also a changing closet, where visitors could change into their clothes. In the clip above you will find out more what it is about.
