"Migrants and European governance have been the focus of talks with President Macron," explained Conte.
Migrants, enough with anti-European propaganda
On the subject of migration, Italy and France have shared the need to "strengthen our collaboration with countries of origin, transit. And this concerns the broader focus on the African continent. We need to manage the phenomenon in a practical and concrete way" . And then: "It is essential for Europe to turn the page towards structural and non-emergency management. Italy has always asked for it consistently," added Conte.
Macron: penalize those who do not participate in redistribution
With the aim of "completing and relaunching the complete revision work concerning asylum in Europe", French President Emmanuel Macron said he was "determined and full of determination" to work "alongside" with Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte.
