“The prospects for the implementation of the Minsk complex of measures to settle in Ukraine in a situation where the proposals considered at the meeting of the foreign policy advisers of the leaders of the Norman format countries were not supported by the representative of Kiev at the meeting of the Contact Group in Minsk on September 18, 2019 were discussed,” the statement said on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Earlier, Russia's envoy in the contact group, Boris Gryzlov, said that Kiev at the meeting of the contact group in Minsk disrupted the implementation of the agreements of the advisers of the Norman Four leaders, refusing to sign the Steinmeier formula.

At the same time, the Foreign Minister of Ukraine Vadim Pristayko said that he agreed to the Steinmeier formula for granting Donbass a special status as part of the Ukrainian state.
