According to the minister, the head of state was ready for the negotiations to be held on September 17, Interfax-Ukraine informs.
“Unfortunately, this time the Russian Federation was unable to take part for technical reasons,” he said at a meeting of the Rada committees.
As Pristayko noted, both the French and German delegations were ready for the meeting.
Previously, the Kremlin noted that a meeting of leaders of Norman-format countries could take place in October.
As the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov emphasized, the parties demonstrate a political will to resume the relevant negotiations.
At the same time, he pointed out that substantial preparation for such a meeting is necessary “so that it is as effective as possible”.
