“Crimea returned to Russia, primarily on the basis of its moral, cultural and other convictions. The return was due to ideological considerations. We are mentally, culturally and historically attached to Russia, ”Hempel emphasized.

He also noted that Crimea returned to Russia by the will of the Crimean people.

“And to speak today about the return of Crimea to Ukraine, which the ex-scout is talking about, in my opinion, is incorrect. We returned to Russia forever. Today Crimea has developed dynamically in all sectors ... Therefore, if a second referendum took place, Crimeans would have voted in the same percentage as they did five years ago, ”concluded Hempel.

Earlier, as media reported, the former head of foreign intelligence of Ukraine Mykola Malomuzh spoke about a plan to “return” Crimea to the country.

According to him, the gradual formation of a powerful model in Ukraine and the taking of the peninsula under full social, economic, energy and water control are supposed.

Then, as Malomuzh emphasized, Crimea should become dependent on Kiev’s international partners.
