At nine days of the World Athletics Championships in Doha, the director of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (Rusada) again sharply criticized the leaders of the Russian Federation of Athletics (Rusaf), where he said "the scale of excesses is just crazy. "

"I have called for the resignation of all the leaders of this Federation, we are cooperating with the IAAF (the International Athletics Federation), we are conducting investigations, the scale of the drifts is just crazy! problem of system (...) because there is evidence of the intervention of a superior authority ", explained Mr. Ganus to the newspaper L'Equipe Wednesday.

The Russian Athletics Federation has been suspended from all international competition since November 2015 and revelations of a vast institutional doping scandal. The IAAF must once again examine its progress in the fight against doping on September 23 at its Council, to decide whether or not to reinstate Russia before the Doha Worlds (September 27 - October 6).

Twenty-nine Russian athletes, however, must compete at the World Championships because of their neutral athlete status, as judged irreproachable by an IAAF panel.

"There are people who oppose my work (...) For example the Minister of Sports (Pavel Kolobkov) has defended and continues to cover Chliakhtine (Dmitri, president of Rusaf) at the head of the federation. 'Athletics."

Several revelations rocked the Russian Federation in June, concerning doping coaches still in office, or the help that Rusaf would have given to jumper Danil Lysenko, by making false documents to justify missed doping controls.

"As long as we are not honest with ourselves, the international community will not be able to lift Russia's sanction, we will stop this disaster when we admit that punishment is inevitable and no one will shirk its responsibilities." continued Mr Ganus.
