Stefan Westerberg is a senior economist at the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, he says they see two problems with the government's budget that was presented on Wednesday.

- Firstly, the budget does not have enough focus on growth and that is a problem because we see that the economy is weakening, especially in Stockholm. Second, it's a sprawling budget, says Stefan Westerberg.

He believes that the budget has no collections of power and that it will have consequences.

- It does not equip Stockholm and Sweden in the short or long term.

Challenges in Stockholm

The Chamber of Commerce sees major challenges in Stockholm and does not think that the government's initiatives, such as the reduced employer tax, will contribute much.

- It is about the group it is lowered into, young, newly arrived and long-term unemployed. They are often so far from the labor market that a reduction does not give so many more jobs. Similarly, we do not think this modified holiday year will help to cushion the great labor shortage in Stockholm, says Stefan Westerberg.

The bank tax that has been known for a while means Stefan Westerberg is very negative for Stockholm.

- It also came a bit like a flash from a clear sky. After all, it has been discussed before and back and that ambiguity helped Nordea move from Stockholm and Sweden. The bank tax lowers Stockholm's attractiveness as a financial hub.
