This is the fourth time that the court decides to keep at liberty this anesthetist suspected of dozens of poisonings.

The Court of Cassation dismissed Wednesday the appeal filed by the Prosecutor General against the maintenance of freedom of Dr. Frederic Pechier, anesthetist Besançon suspected of dozens of poisonings. The latter is therefore at liberty, according to sources familiar with the case and his lawyer.

Justice decides to stay at liberty four times

On four occasions (at first instance and then on appeal), the court had decided that he should be released under judicial supervision, the last time on 12 June. It is this decision of the Court of Appeal that was the appeal of the Prosecutor General's Office, which was appealed by the Court of Cassation.
