The publication took place during the metoo autumn 2017 and received great attention both in the media and in the party. The environmental party's leadership quickly kicked Stefan Nilsson out of the party's parliamentary group. He then told him that he felt unlawful and facing sweeping charges.

Now a party colleague who has spread accusations against him through his Instagram account is being prosecuted.

- There is reason to prosecute, not least in view of the consequences it has had, says Prosecutor Henrik Olin on SVT News's special prosecution chamber.

"The crime should be assessed as serious since the content and the extensive dissemination that has taken place have been liable to cause serious harm to Stefan Nilsson," the prosecutor writes in his decision.

"Good that it will be a trial"

Against the will of the party leadership, Stefan Nilsson remained in parliament for the term of office, but did not run for the 2018 elections. However, he is still a member of the party.

"It is good that there will be a trial," Stefan Nilsson told SVT News today.

SVT News has sought the accused woman's lawyer, but has not succeeded in reaching her. SVT News has also applied for then party secretary Amanda Lind, who invited Stefan Nilsson to leave Parliament in 2017.
