The chairman of the Belarusian State Customs Committee (SCC), Yuri Senko, spoke about this in an interview with Belarus 1.

“We, together with the State Security Committee, worked out information when parts of weapons were transported from Ukraine to Lithuania through Ukraine through the Republic of Belarus and from there moved in larger batches to the Russian Federation,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

According to him, after that already in the Russian territory during a special operation a large number of weapons were seized, among which were machine guns, pistols, rifles, as well as ammunition.

Earlier, Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko said that the Belarusian side was forced to "completely close tightly" the border with Ukraine due to the flow of weapons from there.

Later, the state border service of Ukraine reported that it recorded a decrease in the number of attempts to illegally smuggle weapons across the Ukrainian-Belarusian border.
