About a week ago, gunfire broke out in Nacka. Two men were shot dead and the police went out early on saying that the actual target was not hit without outsiders coming into the firing line.

One of the bullet wounded was at home in his apartment and met in the eye. He had nothing to do with the gang conflict behind the shooting and he has now lost sight of one eye. He is a student at the Royal College of Music, and the school will on Tuesday inform the student union.

- We can confirm that he is a student here and during the week we will hold meetings on what has happened, says press contact Marie Halling

Have you had contact with the student yourself?

- One of our teachers has talked to him. We hope he can come back to his studies in a couple of weeks.

Damaged civilians

Recently, several acts of violence have taken place where people outside the criminal world have been victimized. The night before Saturday, a passing woman was injured when a store was blown up in Lund. In Råcksta, Ndella Jack was shot to death in a shooting where another person was a target and in Malmö, Karolin Hakim was shot dead when she was carrying her child.

According to the Crime Prevention Council, deadly violence is at the highest level since the 1990s. In Stockholm alone, police have over 60 investigations into the shooting deaths on their table.
