Soybean oil, 'made up' with the addition of chlorophyll and beta-carotene, and passed off as Puglia extra virgin olive oil. The Carabinieri del Nas of Florence, at the conclusion of the investigation called "Croce e Delizia", ​​in collaboration with the colleagues of the Nas of Foggia, of the Provincial Commands of Florence and Foggia and personnel of the Central Inspectorate for the repression of fraud, discovered a max fraud food on the Puglia-Tuscany axis. In Montespertoli (Florence) and Cerignola (Foggia) two persons held responsible, respectively, for money laundering and receiving stolen goods. Fourteen suspects overall, over 16 tons of oil seized: they were destined for restaurants, bars, bakeries, wholesalers of food - in at least 11 compliant cases - of the Tuscan commercial circuit.
