Failed to form government

The last election was held in April after Prime Minister Netanyahu failed to form government, which now led to the election held tonight.

At 16 local time, turnout was measured at just over 44 percent. This is slightly higher than in the election this spring.

Stop corruption or annex the Jordan Valley

Benjamin Netanyahu has moved to the right during the latest election to win support. Among other things, he has promised to annex the Jordan Valley and the North Dead Sea Beach if he wins the election.

The Blue and White Alliance leader, General Benny Gantz, is Netanyahu's foremost challenger. He has urged the country's voters to vote against corruption and extremism.
