“Citizens of Russia and Israel are connected by family, kinship, and friendly ties. This is a real such networked common family, without exaggeration I say. Almost two million Russian-speaking citizens of Israel live in this country. We consider Israel a Russian-speaking state, ”RIA Novosti quoted Putin as saying.
According to him, the peoples of the two countries share common pages of history.
He also noted that Russia seeks to build partnership, constructive relations with Israel.
Putin said earlier that he accepted an invitation to visit Israel in early 2020 to take part in events in memory of the victims of the Holocaust.
