The man who worked as a childcare worker was convicted of minor drug crimes and illegal threats, but the municipality did not find out the judges at the time of employment, reports P4 Stockholm. By law, only serious crimes such as murder, sexual offenses, serious abuse are included in the register extract.

Several guns

The man worked at the preschool for two years and during that time he also committed several crimes. In a basement room, the man had access to an automatic carbine, several guns, large quantities of cocaine, digital scales and plastic bags. The man was convicted of drug offenses and weapons offenses but could still continue to work at the preschool because the courts have no obligation to notify the employer.

- I think you should think about whether the court should have such an obligation in certain professions, for example in the case of children where it may have bearing on the business, says school mayor Lotta Edholm (L) to P4.
