Medvedev announced a new era in Russian-Chinese relations

As the Prime Minister noted, in October 1949, "our country was the first to establish diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China," RIA Novosti reports.

“Seven decades later, the Russian-Chinese relations of comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction are at an unprecedented high level and have entered a new era,” Medvedev said.

According to him, both countries are implementing large-scale projects on a bilateral basis and within the framework of interstate associations.

“We stand for compliance with international standards, regulation in global markets. This is especially important in conditions of imposed trade wars and illegitimate sanction pressure, ”he said.

Earlier, Russian leader Vladimir Putin said that relations between China and Russia reached an unprecedented high level.

In mid-March, Gazprom head Alexei Miller said that in 2019 a new era of cooperation between Russia and China in the energy sector begins.
