The lecture, which is part of a series of awareness lectures organized by the Wajib Volunteer Society to disseminate the values ​​of volunteerism, was also witnessed by Sheikh Mohammed Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Wajab Volunteer Association, Sheikh Tahnoon bin Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, and the heads and members of public benefit associations in the UAE.

At the beginning of the lecture, Sheikh Khalifa bin Mohammed said that volunteerism in the UAE has become a lifestyle, a noble human value and a civilized behavior believed by the leadership and the people and passed on by generations, adding that "our ideal is to participate in all volunteer work, the founding leader, the late, God willing." For his part, Fadhila Ahmed Al-Zamil, senior preacher at the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments, said that volunteer work is part of the cultural and social fabric on which the state was founded. Volunteering with the march of goodness and giving to the UAE, which began since the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul and continued to this day, under the wise leadership that works to consolidate the values ​​of giving and giving in the hearts and minds of future generations of citizens and residents.

Al-Zamil added that philanthropy is a great human value in the form of giving and giving in all its forms. It is a civilized and religious behavior urged by all heavenly religions, pointing out that the land of the UAE with its tolerant people is considered a land of goodness, blessing and happiness. In various forms.

Zamil pointed out that the general concept of volunteer work is to exert effort, money, time or experience without self-motivation. It has been urged by our true religion to build the relationship of the individual with the community, since volunteering is one of the values ​​and social characteristics that contribute effectively to achieve the goals and aspirations of individuals and communities. .

He urged Islam and desires in charity work and volunteer work is implicit in these works. Many Quranic verses and hadiths have urged people to do good. He explained that the concept of volunteering in our Islamic world is linked to the values ​​of social solidarity.

He concluded that the highest acts of volunteering are self-driven and do not wait for a fee. Those who do volunteer work are people who have committed themselves to help others by their nature and choice, and religious motivation comes at the top of the list of motives for these acts.
