“After the change of power, the situation with freedom of speech in Ukraine remained critical and worsens. Attacks and terrorist attacks against independent television channels by law enforcement agencies are not investigated. The control and audit bodies are facing increased pressure on independent media, ”the statement said.
The political force claims that the National Broadcasting Council of Ukraine has turned into a “political censor and executioner for freedom of speech."
“After this decision, there was no doubt that against the independent television channels -“ 112 Ukraine ”, NEWSONE, ZIK - the planned political campaign for the destruction began,” the report said.
Earlier, the Ukrainian television channel 112 Ukraine announced the possibility of stopping broadcasting by court order.
On September 5, it became known that the National Broadcasting Council of Ukraine decided to appeal to the court to deprive the NEWSONE channel of its license and close it.
