This bill was submitted to the State Duma at the end of June by 30 deputies.

It is noted that, in particular, the document proposes that legally significant messages of the parties to the employment contract can be transmitted both in the personal presence of the parties to this agreement, and by sending the document by mail, as well as by electronic means of communication.

The current text of the bill contains the norm that the corresponding law comes into force on October 1, 2019, although the draft itself has not yet passed even the first reading.

To date, the document has been checked by experts of the State Duma legal department.

One of the authors of the bill, deputy Gadzhimet Safaraliev, in an interview with RBC, spoke about the importance of the project in the context of digitalization, while he denied media reports that allegedly from October 1, an application for leave could already be submitted electronically.

Earlier, the newspaper Izvestia reported that the Russian Ministry of Labor and Social Protection plans to discuss the introduction of a four-day work week at the enterprises in test mode.
