It was even, it was tough, it was ultimately those margins that decided where the score ended up between HV71 and Frölunda.

HV took all three via 3-2 (1-1, 1-0, 1-1), since Simon Önerud settled in games in five against four in the final period.

- A real fight effort. It was important that we bounce back after the match against Rögle. We fought really well. We bring with you many good things from this game. That's this level we have to play at, says Önerud to C More.

Speaking of Rögle. Linus Sandin won the club's in-house bowler and was in the last race for World Cup games with Three Kronor this spring. Of course, it gave echoes. HV won the tug of war for the 22-year-old - who immediately showed his new home audience what he can and what he wants.

Celebrated the first HV goal

Almost halfway into the first period, Sandin cut in from the right, straight towards the cash register. Niklas Rubin got the leg guard when Sandin tried to angle the puck, but the return from the Frölund goal keeper was controlled via Patrik Carlsson's skate.

Obviously no ice hockey is posting - and Sandin was able to celebrate his first SHL goal for HV71.

- I try to take it (the puck) to the finish and a little fortunately bounce it in. Fun, Sandin tells C More.

Less than four minutes later, Joel Mustonen devalued the value of the home team's first goal of the season in Kinnarps arena. Joel Lundqvist pulled off the attack, Max Friberg elegantly dropped behind his back to Mustonen who pressed the receipt.

Rapid, neat and effective by Frölunda.

- I think it makes a mistake, it's a great fit for Max, says Mustonen to C More.

Gunnarsson played great

HV pressed hard at the beginning of the interim period and received immediate dividends. Axel Holmström worked 2-1 from close range and shortly thereafter the next puck was behind Rubin. It was really doomed because Christian Sandberg bumped the puck with the glove.

Frölunda had his chances, not least in games in numerical superiority, but big-play Jonas Gunnarsson resisted.

The receipt came in just numerical superiority through Brandon Gormley at the beginning of the end period but HV - even that in Game Five vs. Four - took the lead when Simon Önerud cut in from behind the box and bumped in 3-2.
