An explosion left 24 dead and 31 wounded on Tuesday (September 17th) in the vicinity of an election rally by Afghan President Ashraf Ghani in the central province of Parwan.

"Women and children are among them and most of the victims appear to be civilians. (...) The toll could increase," said Abdul Qasim Sangin, the director of the local hospital.

Another explosion killed three people in central Kabul, police said. No claims have been made.
